Steven Burgess, has returned to Tasmania after working around the world on improving cities. It is a broad topic, but Steven has managed to entertain audiences around the world with some ripping yarns on cities places and people. A regular on the ABC in Hobart and regular Mercury statements and interviews.
A Paul Harris Fellow, Steven is offering his speaking services to Rotary in Tasmania and happy to do other cities other than Hobart.
“We make streets all over the world and it’s the best job ever! Making spaces where people can play, shop, gather, drink, eat, and walk is a real privilege. There are cars in most of the streets we make, but they don’t take much effort to look after, we are street-makers after all, not road makers. If cars don’t want to come to our streets they don’t have to. Our Complete Streets director has tertiary qualifications in Engineering and an MBA majoring in economics.
