Vocational service values underpin much of what Rotarians do - promoting ethical practices in all vocations, recognizing the value of all useful occupations and taking action by contributing their vocational talents to the problems and needs of society.
Rotary Youth Leadership Awards is an intensive leadership experience organized by Rotary clubs and districts where you develop your skills as a leader while having fun and making connections.
The Professional Development Exchange program is a unique professional and cultural exchange opportunity for business people and professionals between the ages of 25 and 40.
From a simple beginning in 1968 Rotaract has become a strong international service club for young men and women (ages 18-30) who have a commitment to their communities, be it at local and/or international levels.
In 2019, District 9830 undertook reciprocal Professional Development Exchange (PDE) with District 9980 in the South Island of New Zealand.
Through vocational service we:
Service others by using our unique skills to address community needs
Empower others through training and skill development
Inspire others to act with integrity by following Rotary’s guiding principals
These values lie behind everything we do.
The Director - Vocational Projects, via committees, assists the District Governor in promoting high ethical standards and fostering the ideal of service in all vocations.
