Australian Rotary Health Forums

A series of very successful Mental Health Forums were recently conducted by the Rotary Club of Westbury & Somerset Clubs and Australian Rotary Health.  Over 100 people attended the forums who came from the local community and neighbouring clubs.

 Experienced mental health speakers delivered powerful addresses on their journey with mental illness and how they were able to overcome or control the problem whilst other speakers outlined the mental health services available to residents in the local region. 

The many positive comments clearly showed the value of community discussion in relation to mental health.  Since the year 2000 Australian Rotary Health has contributed over $25m for research into many aspects of mental illness and has conducted over 2,000 mental health forums around Australia.
