Giving

The Rotary Foundation relies on giving to be able to do its great work - individual, club, district, corporate, philanthropic, bequests, and more!

There are many options to choose from when considering a gift to The Rotary Foundation.

Annual Giving

The Annual Programs Fund contributions provide the cornerstone for funding of The Rotary Foundation programs. Half of annual contributions return to the District as District Designated Funds for use by the District three years after the contribution was made. Individuals and clubs are encouraged to give annually to this fund. Individual contributions are fully tax deductible.

Endowment Fund

Contributions made to the Endowment (Permanent) Fund by individuals are invested in perpetuity. This fund enables individuals to combine their gifts into a significant force to address the world’s greatest needs for generations to come. A percentage of the total fund is spent annually to support educational, humanitarian, and cultural programs and projects throughout the world.

Centurion Club

Have you considered making a personal donation to The Rotary Foundation?

Why not join the Centurion Club, donations are fully tax deductible and contribute towards your club PHF credits. The commitment is $100 Australian per year for as long as you are able to do so. On receipt of your initial $100 donation, you will be issued with a pin to recognise your participation in this worthwhile program. If you chose to make your payment US$100 per year, you will also qualify as a Foundation Sustaining Member. Your contribution is part of the Rotary Foundation Annual Giving Program, which assists our District with resources to support The Rotary Foundation Humanitarian and Educational Programs.

Paul Harris Society

A Paul Harris Society for our District was launched in March 2010.

The Paul Harris Society is a special recognition program designed for Rotarians who wish to support The Rotary Foundation in a more substantial way each year. The Paul Harris Society recognizes Rotarians and friends of The Rotary Foundation who annually contribute US$1,000 or more to the Annual Programs Fund, PolioPlus, or the Humanitarian Grants Program.

The first Paul Harris Society was established in 1998 in District 5340 (California) The idea gained momentum and quickly spread to other Districts throughout the world. Several Districts in Australia have established a Society.

The purpose of The Paul Harris Society is to honour and thank individuals for their generosity of annual support to The Rotary Foundation.
